Labels, claims and regulation
Cosmetics sold in India must meet the Drugs and Cosmetics Act, 1940, the Cosmetics Rules, 2020 and the Legal Metrology (Packaged Commodities) Rules, 2011. We manufacture under our cosmetic manufacturing licence [Licence number — to confirm] and can help you prepare compliant labels through our regulatory support service.
As the brand owner, you are responsible for the claims you make about your products in your own labels, advertising and marketing, including under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 and the Advertising Standards Council of India (ASCI) code. Cosmetic products must not claim to treat, cure or prevent any disease.
Enquiries, quotes and orders
Sending a form, shortlisting products or downloading the catalogue does not create an order or a contract. Prices, minimum order quantities, sample terms, lead times, taxes and payment terms are confirmed in writing in a quotation.

Intellectual property
The website, including its text, design, photography and the Purete Laboratoire name and wordmark, belongs to us or our licensors and is protected under the Copyright Act, 1957 and the Trade Marks Act, 1999. You may view and print pages for your own business use.

Liability
