This text is a starting draft and must be reviewed by legal counsel before launch.
Who we are
This website is operated by [Legal entity name — to confirm] , trading as Purete Laboratoire (“we”, “us”, “our”), a private label cosmetics manufacturer in Surat, Gujarat, India. Our registered office is at [Registered office address — to confirm] .
For the personal data you share through this website we are the Data Fiduciary: we decide why and how it is processed. This policy is our notice to you about that processing.
The laws we follow
- The Information Technology Act, 2000 and the Information Technology (Reasonable Security Practices and Procedures and Sensitive Personal Data or Information) Rules, 2011, which apply today.
- The Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the Digital Personal Data Protection Rules, 2025. Their main duties on businesses, including notice, consent, your rights and breach reporting, take effect on 13 May 2027. We already follow them.
What we collect and why
We collect only what you choose to send us through a form, plus a little technical information recorded with that form. We do not buy personal data from others.
| When you… | We collect | We use it to | We keep it for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Request a quote, contact us, ask about a partnership or start your brand | Name, email, phone, company or brand, country and city, business stage, products and quantities you are interested in, your message, and any brief or moodboard you upload | Reply to you, prepare quotes, formulations and sample plans, and carry out any business that follows | [3 years after our last contact — to confirm] |
| Request samples | The details above, plus the delivery address for the samples | Prepare and courier your samples | [3 years after our last contact — to confirm] |
| Download the product collection | Name, email, phone and company | Send you the collection and follow up on your interest | [3 years after our last contact — to confirm] |
| Apply for a job | Name, email, phone, the role, your experience, your LinkedIn profile if you share it, and your CV | Consider your application and contact you about it | [12 months after the role is filled — to confirm] |
| Subscribe to our newsletter | Email address | Send formulation notes, launch ideas and news of new products | Until you unsubscribe |
| Send any form | Your IP address, browser details and the page you sent the form from | Stop spam and misuse, and understand which product or service you were looking at | As long as the form itself, and at least one year where the law requires us to keep processing logs |
We do not sell your personal data, use it for advertising, or make automated decisions about you.
Your consent and how to withdraw it
Every form asks for your consent before you send it, and we use what you send only for the purposes listed above. We may also process personal data without consent where the law allows it, for example to meet a legal obligation or a court order.
You can withdraw your consent at any time, as easily as you gave it: write to info@puretelab.com, or use the unsubscribe link in any newsletter. Once you withdraw, we stop processing your data for that purpose and erase it, unless the law requires us to keep it. Withdrawing does not affect anything we did before, and it may mean we can no longer answer your enquiry.
Sensitive information
We do not ask for passwords, bank or card details, health or medical records, biometric data, or information about your sexual orientation. Please leave these out of your messages, uploads and CVs. If we receive them by mistake, we delete them.
Who we share it with
- Our team: only the people who need it to answer you or process your application.
- Service providers who process data for us under contract and only on our instructions: website hosting, email delivery and couriers for samples. [Names of hosting, email and courier providers — to confirm]
- Authorities, when the law requires it, or to protect our rights, our customers or the public.
Two parts of the website involve other services. The map on our contact page is loaded from OpenStreetMap, which receives your IP address when the map loads. Our WhatsApp links open WhatsApp, which handles your data under its own policy once you start a chat.
Where your information is stored
Enquiries and uploaded files are stored on our website server in [Hosting location — to confirm] and in our business email. Where a service provider stores data outside India, we use only countries the Government of India has not restricted under section 16 of the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
How long we keep it
We keep personal data only as long as we need it for the purpose you gave it for, as set out in the table above, or as long as a law requires: for example, tax and accounting records for business that follows an enquiry. After that we erase it, and ask our service providers to do the same.
Your rights
You have the right to:
- access a summary of the personal data we hold about you, what we do with it, and who we have shared it with;
- correct, complete or update data that is wrong, incomplete or out of date;
- erase data we no longer need, unless the law requires us to keep it;
- withdraw your consent, as described above;
- have your grievances addressed by our grievance officer;
- nominate someone to exercise these rights for you if you die or are unable to act.
To use any of these rights, write to info@puretelab.com. We may ask you to confirm your identity first, and we respond within 30 days.
Your duties
Indian law also asks you to give authentic information, not to impersonate anyone, and not to file false or frivolous complaints.
Children
This website is meant for businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has sent us their details, contact us and we will delete them.
Security and data breaches
We protect your data with reasonable security practices, including encrypted connections to this website, restricted access to enquiry records and uploaded files, and limits on automated form submissions. No system is completely secure, so we cannot promise absolute security.
If a breach affects your personal data, we will tell you and the Data Protection Board of India as the law requires, explaining what happened, the likely consequences and what we are doing about it.
Cookies and browser storage
We use only essential cookies, and we keep your enquiry list in your own browser. Our cookie policy lists each one.
This notice in your language
You can ask us for this notice in English or in any of the 22 languages listed in the Eighth Schedule to the Constitution of India, such as Hindi or Gujarati.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our services or the law change. The “last updated” date at the top shows when it last changed. If a change affects how we use data you have already given us, we will tell you.
